About Me
I hail from Newcastle in the North-East of England, a wonderful cultural city surrounded by picturesque countryside and windswept beaches. As a child I loved reading , sneaking a torch under the covers to 'just finish this chapter—then the next, then the next.' I dreamed of being an author in a country cottage like Enid Blyton or Beatrix Potter. I also dreamed of acting with the Royal Shakespeare Company, but that didn't quite work out! I studied at the University of Life, eventually leading me to Australia where I now live with my husband and three children. |
Things You Don't Know About Me
My family on my grandmothers side were Eurasian, WWII displaced people's from Burma (Myanmar) to England and Australia, I have always wanted to honour their story. Dancing? Hopeless! I once went the opposite way on stage to everyone else, moving as gracefully as a plank of wood. I worked in Europe: After studying at language school in Athens, I spent two years in Greece and Cyprus and also gave tours of Amsterdam and Bruge. Tea is my favourite drink : Half a sugar, a splash of milk - literally a splash, thanks very much. I once worked as a Colourist: Colourists make TV shows look pretty or cool, or old fashioned, or…whatever the director wants. I colour graded five years of Home and Away! I love Castles. Any castle - just castles. |
