Where diD that Go?

It's a pleasant winter day; blue skies, red and amber leaves on the too few 'autumn' trees in my neighbourhood. The winter sunsets are rich with colour. I'm at my desk, having finished an online workshop and declared myself stuck at a point in my latest manuscript. Someone has contacted me through my website form this week - how lovely. Maybe I'll visit my website myself, I think —and realise it's been SIX months since I posted anything. Where did that go? I didn't even post about my CONTRACT!

So what's been happening? My parents visited from England. After three and a half years, it was so good to spend time together. We became Mahjong experts (sort of!)

We made small road trips between floods - Picton, Coffs Harbour, The Hunter, Sydney.  I took a lot of nature photos!

I met Heather Morris at a Words on the Waves 2022 event. I love Heather's  Tattooist of Auschwitz trilogy, so this was a thrill to meet the lady herself and hear of the inspiring stories of those she met whilst working on these books.

We visited the Matisse exhibition, made 'bridges' to get from the garage to the house, and made something pretty from my fruitless passionfruit vine.

I even managed to harvest some grapes from my little vine in the front garden.

And of course we celebrated THE CONTRACT. After 43 weeks,  I got to meet my publisher, Heather.  She's real!
